St Stephens Day 2020.

A day like never before.

This year, with COVID-19, we are staying apart while bringing everybody in Newport together. This virtual 5k community fun event will have participants walk, jog or run the 5k distance on the 26thDecember, anytime between 9am and 4pm. The start and finish line will be your very own front door. The course will be the roads in your local town land.

You can take part in this event from anywhere, we hope to see fun images of people taking part, in Cully, Ballymackeogh, Clonbealy, Foxhall, Shower and Tullow. But , also the Newport people and their friends in the USA, Australia and England and everywhere in between.

December 26th 2020

Anytime between 9am and 4pm

What you need to do.

Put on your runners, head out your door and run/walk the 5k distance.

This community challenge has been organized by the Newport Community Project. We are raising badly needed funds for the completion, of our community all weather sports field, running track and walking path. This facility will be based behind the Boys National School in Clonbealy.

When completed in the summer of 2021, this amazing facility will benefit all local sports clubs and associations, while also providing a safe place for the general public to exercise.
